Patch 0.3.12


New Cargo Mechanics

Cargo items for ships now have a brand new interface allowing you to see how many of which item you have in your cargo hold, as well as jettison unwanted cargo. 

Storage Chest v2

This new version of Storage Chests uses the regular inventory screen instead of a custom interface. It now also displays each item in your storage on a single line, instead of showing 4 lines if you have 4 health potions, for example. By using the regular Inventory screen it now also utilizes item category sorting to make it easier to find items you’ve stored. Another improvement is that the max amount of items you can have in your storage is now expandable, allowing for quests or other tasks to increase how many items you can put in there. Neat! The new default value is 25, up from 20.

Known Issues

  • Some sprites may be misaligned.
  • Error messages will be shown when leaving a map while AI Actors are trying to fight someone.
  • The game may soft lock if dying with a party member or if the party member dies.. W/A: Load an earlier save.

World

  • A bunch of new hairstyles for both genders. Visit a barbershop to try something new.
  • New, hidden shortcuts in some regions.
  • Added guard to Mudplank.
  • Secret docking locations to all regions. These must be found on land.

Ships

  • Ships now have a max weight limit (can be upgraded through hull upgrades)
  • Ships have a max cargo capacity. 
  • Cargo manifest interface, showing an overview of all cargo currently on the ship.
  • Cargo crates spawn in the cargo hold. They can also be inspected to see what’s inside.

Graphics

  • New look of the player ship with completely overhauled graphics.
  • New look of the world map and borders while sailing.
  • New look of the world map in the menu.
  • Improved terrain blending on Wudryia.
  • Improved blending between water and general terrain tiles.
  • Updated money and weight icons.

World

  • Adjusted health of some enemies.
  • New graphics for the dock in Valvinas.

Items

  • Adjusted some item prices.
  • Adjusted some item descriptions.

Interfaces

  • Made the Alchemy interface slightly bigger and added Alchemy Level and Experience to it.

Misc

  • Removed Look to Mouse as it was breaking a lot of stuff.
  • Nagana guards now have more context sensitive dialog and will respond differently if you’re close or far away from the location you’re asking about.

Fixed

Systems

  • Camera being zoomed too far in when loading a save file.
  • Camera zoom after creating a character leads to deformed pixel sizes.
  • Adjusted time of day that game starts from 11AM to 9AM.
  • Toggle buttons in Options interfaces not always displaying the correct value.
  • The “Can Save” boolean was inverted, making it impossible to save in the pause menu unless you weren’t supposed to be able to. 
  • Game would sometimes crash if leaving a map while a party member is fighting something.
  • Loading a quick save was impossible from the main menu or without pressing the key binding.
  • Character creator would sometimes change the gender and result in male characters with female clothes/names/hair and vice versa.
  • Smithing could be done without having the correct amount of bars for the item.
  • Error if attempting to take only Gold from a container.

World

  • Rain did not change opacity when lighting changes.
  • Not being able to enter the Cobbler house in Midforest.
  • Various ground/floor tiles.
  • Some instances where checking if it’s raining did not work as intended, resulting in some dialog choices always being unavailable.
  • Not being able to enter the Oaksprings tunnel from Oaksprings.
  • Discovering the East Outpost would mark the South Outpost on the players map instead.
  • Getting stuck in terrain if traveling east from the Shrine of Stars near the bottom of the map.
  • Nagana player house could be entered without purchasing the key.

Graphics

  • Connected several swamp and dirt roads so there is no longer a gap between them. 
  • The items on the traders table in Midforest would flicker.

Interface

  • Inconsistencies in the Save/Load interface.
  • Small performance improvement in Barber interface.
  • Small performance improvement in Character Creator.
  • Changing hairstyle to the left in the Barber interface used outdated code that only applied male hairstyles.
  • Beard style/shaving wouldn’t be included in the total price.
  • Numeric keys not working when making choices in a dialog box.
  • Disabled Per Pixel cursor selection for several interface elements that didn’t need it.
  • Glitches in Mail interface.

Ship

  • Crew quarters weren't considered an interior map, sometimes making it rain inside.
  • Z-fighting issue with the main sail, sometimes rendering things invisible behind it.
  • Time of Day lighting would instantly update instead of smoothly transitioning.
  • Being able to sell goods even while the player has 0 of the item.
  • Ship hull color is now set properly for all rooms, not only the main deck.
  • It was impossible to dock anywhere after pressing “no” in the message box asking if you wanted to dock.

Quests

  • Uspya starting quest would be named “Title”. Fixed to say “Military Service” instead.
  • Errors when loading a save that had destroyed one or more of the boulders in the North Outpost cave.

Actors

  • Missing dialog for some guards.
  • Olihar the innkeeper would warn the player even if he was dead.
  • The traveler and his camp near Greenvale Lake would respawn when loading a save.
  • Random encounters disappearing when entering or leaving an interior map.
  • Random encounters not spawning when loading a save if one had spawned when saving.
  • Random encounters spawning when loading when previously there was no encounter there.
  • Party members joining and leaving the player party should now work properly!

Misc

  • Crafting Teas or Caf required a vial.
  • Toyps.
  • Bookshelf in Commander Dellri’s room could only be interacted with once.
  • Various collider problems.
  • Civus wouldn’t go inside his house at night.
  • Updated years on main menu and launcher to 2021.
