Patch 0.3.7
Version 0.3.7 is here and it’s bringing in a lot of new stuff as usual, along with a bunch of bug fixes. The most notable new additions include a lot of new audio, both music and ambient tracks. Another great thing is that loading times should now be even shorter! During testing on my own machine the game loads about 40% faster now compared to before. Known Issues
- The buttons to sort the item list have been temporarily disabled due to them crashing the game under certain circumstances. Functionality will be restored once I figure out how to fix it.
- When trading, the “All Items” button does not work. Other category buttons work, so you’ll have to use those until this is fixed.
- Some sprites may be misaligned.

World
- NPCs to the village of Iceshore.
- Detail pass on the village of Valvinas. New NPCs added, as well as some design changes and additions.
- Wind animations to several tree sprites.
- New tree sprites in Usmor region.
Quests
- Usmor main quest has begun development and the first part can now be played.
- Continuation of the Sedresh main quest.
- Small side quest in Greenvale. Talk to Sully to get started.
Systems
- Initial system for Status Effects.
Gameplay Stats
- Lamps Rubbed.
Items
- Magic Lamp and Magnificent Lamp. Magic Lamp will let you add some XP to a skill of your choice (as long as it's not maxed) and the Magnificent Lamp will reward you with a stat point.
- Added warning when you have 1 item remaining after using an item from Quick Items. It'll now also let you know when the last one is consumed, for example by drinking a potion.
Audio
- New sounds when picking up ingredients from plants and items from the ground.
- New main theme!
- New exploration music.
- New tavern music.
- New overworld music to Ceth.
- New music to Wizard Towers.
- New ambient audio for forests.
Changed
Graphics
- New, higher resolution face and clothes sprites while in dialog. Neither you or NPC's ever looked this good. Or bad, depending on your haircut.
- Rivers are now displayed on the world map.
- Updated both regular and swamp water tiles.
- Some visual updates to character creator backgrounds maps.
- Updated tree sprites in Cafror region.
World
- Visual updates and overhaul of dialog at the West Outpost.
- Visual updates to several overworld maps.
- Changed terrain tile set in Uspya to a new one that is more performant. Terrain blending tiles in particular benefit the most from this.
- Updated some dialog in starting towns if the player is from there.
Items
- Renamed "Ship Paint" to just "Paint" with appropriate color as it is now being used for more things than just ship hull color.
Interfaces
- Made Achievements window a little bit wider as it was causing some scrolling issues.
- Made the text above NPC heads a little bit bigger.
Misc
- Reduced skill points when creating a new character from 10 to 8.
Fixed
Systems
- The loading screen after the intro sequence with my logo is now gone, greatly reducing initial loading times. The game should load almost 40% faster now!
- Sleeping would not increase the Days Passed variable.
- Cold breath effect would be displayed in character creator.
- Nightshade Tea now works as intended and increases healing rate while sleeping.
World
- North exit in the Usmor Mining Camp not functioning.
- Asking for free stuff at the Blackrock Herbalist now initializes a small questionnaire as intended. Answer all questions correctly to get some free stuff!
- Mixed up dialog paths when talking to Nilo.
Graphics
- Walls being displayed when at the bottom edge of overworld maps. They're now covered with grass/snow/relevant tile to look more natural.
- Half black tiles around the Uspya region.
- Broken corners on some roof tiles.
- Flickering handles on door sprites.
- Some lighting glitches on player owned ship.
Interface
- Greatly increased performance in the inventory screen when you have a lot of items.
- A negative amount of hours could be set while sleeping. It's now limited between 0 and 16 hours.
- Changing Music Volume wouldn't turn down every piece of music.
Quests
- Lots of fixes to the North Outpost questline.
Audio
- Stonehaven bell chime could be heard even if the player is far away from Stonehaven.
- Stonehaven bell chime not being slightly muffled when inside houses in Stonehaven.
- Some maps where music would reset when entering.
Misc
- Missing face graphic and name for the Blackrock Tailor.
- Birds would chirp while in the main menu.
- Chickens would lay eggs while in the main menu which could then be picked up later if starting a new character in the same region as the chicken.
